SANDRA VILELA

Sandra has been involved with Healing Care Ministries since 2009. Through the Ministry of Formational Prayer, she had a profound encounter and experience with the presence of Jesus in her emotional pain which was the beginning of her own journey of healing toward wholeness and her desire is to walk with people who lost hope that they will be whole again. As a wounded healer, Sandra wants to give the same grace, mercy and forgiveness she received by positioning others to have an encounter with the powerful presence of God through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

She is a fully credentialed Clinical Psychologist and Educator in Brazil. She is trained in EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing – treatment for trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has experience working with people who struggle with childhood trauma and attachment wounds. She regularly works with clients in one-on-one sessions as well as small groups. She also taught and developed theological curriculum at the Brazilian Institute of Christian Formation - School of Ministries in the areas of Christian Psychology and New Testament.

Sandra is a Senior Formational Prayer Caregiver at Healing Care Ministries and a Spiritual Director. She is also an Advisor, Teacher and Speaker in the Certificate Program and Healing Care Ministries events. She is also a teacher and facilitator in Healing Care Ministries Rooted program.

Sandra is a Brazilian, and has lived in Aurora, Ohio with her husband Antonio since 2001. She has two adult children, Vitor married to Amanda and Bruna. She values time with her family and going out to experience gourmet food. She loves orchids, mini plants, gardens, gardening, reading and painting and enjoys being in places with water views.
