TERRY WARDLE

Terry is the founder and President of Healing Care Ministries. He is a popular author and dynamic speaker who leads seminars and retreats that equip pastors, counselors, clinicians, and spiritual directors. Terry and his wife, Cheryl, have three adult children and six grandchildren. They reside in Ashland, Ohio

After spending over 30 years in the Corporate world in various executive roles, Doug began a new career as an executive coach and consultant. He was introduced to Healing Care in 2008, and is now on a lifetime healing journey. His current roles allow him to share the amazing transforming power of Christ with others. He lives in Westerville with his wife of 41 years (Sally). They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. He loves to travel with Sally, and spend time with the grandkids.

KEITH McLAUGHLIN

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF

THE HEALING CARE CENTER

Keith has been actively discovering renewed life on his journey of healing for fifteen years. He is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary in 2003 with a Master's of Divinity and has served for 18 years as the lead pastor of two churches in Ohio. His desire is to position others to take this journey toward wholeness with Jesus. Keith currently lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with his amazing wife, Michelle and their five children. When he is not spending time with others on the Healing Care journey, he can be found outdoors enjoying the gift of God's creation in many ways.

DESTRY WARDLE

DIRECTOR OF

COME AWAY WITH ME RETREATS

Destry has her MA in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and received a B.A. in Psychology from Simpson College. Destry has been serving on our Come Away Retreat team for the past 15 years and has facilitated over 50 retreats. Her specialty is in facilitating Formational Prayer within the context of small groups as well as on an individual basis as a Formational Counselor for the Come Away with Me retreats. She and her husband Aaron live in Longmont, Colorado and have two children, Grace and Addison.

SANDRA VILELA

COUNSELOR / SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR

Sandra has been involved with Healing Care Ministries since 2009. Through the Ministry of Formational Prayer, she had a profound encounter and experience with the presence of Jesus in her emotional pain. It was the beginning of her own journey of healing toward wholeness. Her desire is to walk with people who lost hope that they will be whole again. As a wounded healer, she wants to give the same grace, mercy and forgiveness she received by positioning them to have an encounter with the powerful presence of God through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

 

She is a fully credentialed Clinical Psychologist and Educator in Brazil. She is trained in EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing – treatment for trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has experience working with people who struggle with childhood trauma and attachment wounds. She regularly works with clients in one-on-one sessions as well as small groups. She also taught and developed theological curriculum at the Brazilian Institute of Christian Formation - School of Ministries in the areas of Christian Psychology and New Testament.

 

Sandra is a Senior Formational Prayer Caregiver at Healing Care Ministries &  a Spiritual Director. She is also an Advisor, Teacher and Speaker in the Certificate Program and Healing Care Ministries events. She is also a teacher and facilitator in Healing Care Ministries Rooted program. 

 

Sandra who is a Brazilian, lives in Aurora, Ohio with her husband Antonio since 2001. She has two adult children Vitor married to Amanda and Bruna. She values times with her family and going out to experience gourmet food. She loves orchids, mini plants, gardens, gardening, reading and painting She craves being in places with water view.

MAGGIE RHINE

COUNSELOR / LIFE COACH

Maggie is a licensed professional clinical and chemical dependency counselor specializing in trauma, attachment challenges and childhood emotional neglect and is keenly aware of the negative impact these have on our adult relationships. In addition to counseling, she is a certified leadership coach who, with her husband, helps men and women transform their relationships with God, themselves and others.  

Maggie received her Masters degree in Clinical and Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary where she was first introduced to Terry Wardle and the Healing Care model, which has informed most of her practice for the past 15 years.  Overall, Maggie uses a holistic approach, tailoring treatment to the client's specific needs. She's trained extensively in evidenced-based trauma and somatic therapies, such as EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems/ego-state therapy and trauma-focused CBT.  Her focus is to help clients understand what's causing their current distress and empower them with the best tools to heal and grow.

VITOR VILELA

COUNSELOR

Vitor is a Brazilian born licensed minister and licensed professional clinical counselor with the State of Ohio. He is also certified to teach inner healing ministry concerning area of spiritual deliverance and spiritual warfare from Freedom Encounters, Inc. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Kent State University in Molecular/Cellular Biology and his Master of Arts Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He currently serves as School Based Mental Health Counselor with Commquest Services, Inc. in Canton, OH.

 

Vitor has experience in mental health counseling since 2012 working with trauma, grief, and anxiety/depression related struggles ranging from individuals to families and kindergartners to elderly populations. He has owned his own practice since 2013, practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Narrative Therapy combined with the approved protocol for leading a care receiver in “Formational Prayer.” Vitor has experience in pastoral ministry for 6 years, also worked as an outpatient mental health counselor at Community Services of Stark County in Canton, OH and taught first year counseling students at Ashland Theological Seminary in 2016. He also recently offered lay counseling training in area of clinical referral and grief through Healing Care in Ashland, OH.

 

Personally, Vitor is married, 4.5 years, to his beautiful wife, Amanda, a Private Nanny and student of culinary Arts. They enjoy visiting their family in Brazil once a year and spending time at the beach.
